- Flown a single engine plane
- Rode in the copilot seat of a Lear Jet
- Saw the view from the CN Tower in Toronto
- Drove a Diesel Locomotive
- Rode in a Helicopter (too many times as part of work)
- Flew low (500\') over the Space Shuttle runway at the Kennedy Space Center
- Rode a snowmobile under a full moon at midnight
- Stood on the tundra and watched Northern Lights in Labrador
- Overnight camped by horseback (Pine Mtn)
- Overnight camped by canoe (Flint River)
- Overnight camped in a cave (Cumberland cavern & Raccoon Mtn Cave)
- Snowshoed in -22f degrees to Carter Notch and stayed over New Years Eve (Twice)
- Explored alone at night in the great Pyramid of Cheops
- Rode a Camel on the edge of the Sahara Desert
- Slept in the 100f degree heat of night in the Mojave Desert
- Helped to restore 2 cemeteries (Osborn & Blackwell)
- Hiked 5 days on the Appalachian Trail (through the white mountains)
- Helped clean up 3 caves (Russell, Stephens Gap, & Pettijohns)
- Helped to build a new campsite for the 2004 TAG Cave-in
- Spent a Winter night at the Observatory on the summit of Mt. Washington in NH
- Volunteered as a Chief in the YMCA Adventure Guides Program (5 years)
- Volunteered with the Red Cross for two weekends after the South Georgia floods of 94\'
- Volunteered as Security Guard for 8 weeks at the 1996 Olympics (The Best Games Ever!)
- Volunteered 4 years as a chaporone for a high school marching band
- Volunteered with the Red Cross for 3 weeks in New York City after the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01
- Put 255,115 miles on a single vehicle in 10 years
- Switched to clean ethenol fuel made from pine trees for 10 years to prove it was a viable replacement to fossil fuel
- Visited an Ice Hotel (Quebec)
- Walked/rode in many 4th of July parades
- Worked a few hours on a Lobster boat in Maine
- Etched my name on the spacecraft Stardust
- Outlived many good friends ;-)
- Saw the view from the Tokyo Tower
- Viewed the "Old Man in the Mountain" before he fell from existence - live free or die
- Had one of my hiking photos published in "Windswept" (Oct 04\'), the Journal of the Mount Washington Observatory
- Crawled through one of the Cu Chi tunnels outside of Ho Chi Minh City
- Rode a very fast hydrofoil boat up the Saigon River
- Paddled a canoe up a tributary of the Mekong River
- Wet my feet in the South China Sea
- Viewed tiger tracks in a oil field at Duri Indonesia
- Flew all the way around the earth - several times
- Volunteered at the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain
- Wrote a proposal that placed a wayside exhibit about Green Mountain Hotel at Acadia National Park
- Was President of Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club when they won the 2015 National Hartzog Award
- Achieved the 2017 Presidents Volunteer Service Award for hours at Kennesaw Mountain - with letter from President Trump
- Survived tonsile cancer, with some permanent consequences
- Launched the Friends of KMNBP as President in 2019
- Published my first book in 2019 - Introduction to Industrial Engineering: A short overview to help to choose your career
- Published my second book in 2020 - Lean Use Cases
- Published my third book in 2021 - Writing Lean Requirements: the how to
- Published my fourth book in 2022 - Intro to Geneaology
- Amassed 16,689 contacts on "LinkedIn" - most attended one of my talks
- Retired from full time work in October 2022 after 50 years of fulltime jobs
